It’s been a stressful and taxing few weeks. Going from having a couple of courses to more courses than I can keep track of and staying away from my own personal work has been a huge lesson in time managment.
I think things would be a bit different if my travel time wasn’t so far from each of my workplaces (spanning from an hour to two hours dependent on location) since that’s really where most of my time is going.
I have been trying to take my laptop onto the metro just to make sure I’m getting posts up, but I need to find a way to be able to compose or edit music while travelling. Well, it’s not the editing that is the problem, it’s more of the composing. I like writing and recording all of my songs on the piano instead of using music notation programs or the on-screen keyboard. Although one of my favourite songs I wrote, being Mousehunt which I wrote for Calpurnia, was written and orchestrated through a musical notation program. So perhaps I’ll have to install it onto my laptop so I can continue to release instrumentals throughout the rest of the year.
I have been very happy to release more music on Spotify. I’m glad that my catalogue is feeling more complete and I’m still hoping to release more unreleased songs.
Either way, I’m looking very forward to this winter break. This weekend was much needed to just shut my brain off and rest. Hopefully, I’ll find more time like this during the semester or at least a way to feel less dazed. It feels like everything is happening around me, but I can’t stop to even breathe.
